When the valve does not move as expected by the TCM, it will set a fault code for that solenoid. The problem is usually a stuck valve in the valve body.while you have it down go ahead and check the tower seals. the solonoid pack bolts to the valve body. just unbolt it and bolt in the new one, the new one may not come with the same color connector, will be white or grey, but no worries here. bolt it all back up, clear your codes and drive. the 4 is the limp mode.
