An upgraded mag catch came with the release of the Gen 2 Staccato grips. That was to help with the overinsertion problem that STI's and 2011's in general had been plagued by for years. It did help but did noy completely stop that from happening. G3 mags was also to help fix that issue and did help.The serrations are mainly aesthetic, and aren’t functional in the way you’re hoping for. Negative sire. I think they look like gills and I ‘on’t like it. If you gonna spend 3k on a gun, what's another 200 for the cuts. Staccato's are nice and their fans are very loyal, but I don't think the XL & XC are worth the money. I do strongly recommend the DLC finish on the barrel and optics cut.
