The blade on this 430 will fit a 420,430 AND a 400. some time around the model change from the 400 to the 420 deere made brackets to fit a newer blade to a 400. I allso have a 46" snow blower with the same brackets. This is why I said a blade from a 400 may or may not need to be modified.
