Taurus PT111 G2 Millennium Pro. Walther P22. Unless you own the gun please do not comment on its reliability or lack thereof. A couple of years ago, Chet replaced his aging Browning Buckmark with a GSG 1911 .22. He appreciated the overall design and workmanship of the GSG 1911 .22 but also recognized that the guide rod could be improved, and accessories for the gun were lacking. Most of Chet’s design ideas come from his many years of competition shooting.Round #3 of the 10 CCI SV rounds failed to chamber, but ejected the spent case and cocked the hammer. The rest chambered and fired. The Norma TAC22 immediately had issues, not ejecting or cocking the hammer. My S&W M&P22 Compact won't shoot it either, so it's not just the GSG.I love my Sig Mosquito which is exactly the same and rebranded as the GSG Firefly.:bthumb: No problems with any .22LR HV ammo. No FTE or FTF's. Accurate enough for range plinking. A quick search leads me to believe the GSG warranty is better than what Sig was offering when produced for them. A warning to note.

I have a 22/45 but I prefer the GSG 1911-22 that I chose rather than the Firefly. The 22/45 is more prone to FTF when it gets dirty than the 1911-22. Also, the GSG 1911-22 is cheaper and looks like a normal 1911 while the 22/45 looks like Ruger product (which I like).Jan 8, 2019 · GSG Firefly first time out. Picked up the Firefly from Brownells in November on a sale for $160. Took it to the range for the first time today. I found my thumb interfered with the slide lock on last round and had to move it a little out to avoid negating the feature. Once I repositioned my thumb I didn't have that issue any longer.

If you use the slide STOP lever to release the slide, it will cause excessive wear on the slide. By using the "slingshot" method to release the slide, you all but eliminate this problem. The lever is a slide STOP, not a slide release.

My SP2022 pull is 10 and 4.4, so I suspect I may want to lighten the pull on the Firefly. Firing Pin, main spring goes in no problem. Sear spring is shorter than the original in my Sig 1911/22 and cannot be use. So far the indentation on the snap cap shows a stronger strike by firing pin.
